ChanFix (C)

Est. 2003

An automated service that helps restore operator status to legitimate channel operators when channels become opless.

ChanFix monitors channel activity and can automatically restore ops to users who have historically held operator status in unregistered channels.

Key Features

  • Automatic op restoration for opless channels
  • Historical operator tracking and scoring
  • Manual fix requests for emergency situations
  • Channel activity monitoring and analysis
  • Protection against channel takeovers
  • Integration with channel registration systems

How It Works

  1. 1ChanFix continuously monitors channels and tracks who has ops
  2. 2It builds a database of historical operators and their activity
  3. 3When a channel becomes opless, ChanFix can automatically restore ops
  4. 4The service prioritizes users with the highest historical op scores
  5. 5Manual intervention is available for complex situations

Important Notes

  • ChanFix only works on channels that are NOT registered with X
  • Users have limited access - only CANFIX and REQUESTOPS commands available
  • The service requires historical data and minimum scores for eligibility
  • REQUESTOPS requires >1000 points and being in top 10 channel scores
  • ChanFix is designed to prevent channel takeovers and maintain stability
